Yard Associate – Stone Supplier (Elkridge, MD)

Job Overview:

A stone supplier in Elkridge is seeking a Yard Associate to handle daily yard operations, including loading/unloading materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with physical labor and operating a forklift.

Responsibilities:

• Lift up to 75 lbs independently.


• Unload inbound trucks and check in inventory.


• Pull, tag, and assemble outbound and will-call orders.


• Load outbound shipments and assist customers with pickups.


• Organize and maintain inventory.


• Perform daily forklift checks and operate forklifts safely.


• Prepare and ship sample orders in a timely manner.


• Maintain and restock shop materials needed for sample production.


• Ensure the yard has necessary supplies (e.g., staples, chicken wire).


• Keep the yard clean and organized.


• Perform basic math when checking in materials.


• Use a circular saw to cut and assemble sample orders.


• Assist with general maintenance, including trash cleanup.


• Everything else that is assigned by your supervisor.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs independently.


• Steel toe shoes required.


• Forklift experience preferred.


• Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.


• Basic math skills.


• Comfortable using tools such as a circular saw.

Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
