Job Title: Temporary Office Assistant (Home Health Care Service)


 


Job Location: Laurel, MD



Duration: Temporary (2 weeks with the potential for an extension)



Start Date: Monday, April 7th, 2025



Pay Rate: $18 per hour


 


Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Office Assistant to support our Home Health Care Service team for a two-week temporary assignment. This position involves answering phone calls while performing data entry tasks and providing general administrative support. If the candidate performs exceptionally well, there is the possibility for an extension or permanent placement.


Required Qualifications :

Job Responsibilities:




  • Answer and direct phone calls on a multi-line telephone system




  • Perform data entry tasks while managing phone duties




  • Assist with office tasks such as copying, scanning, faxing, and emailing documents




  • Handle office records and printouts (minimal lifting)




  • Operate and maintain office equipment including a Mac OS, calculator, copier, and fax machine




  • Maintain accurate records and assist with other administrative duties as required




Job Conditions:




  • Primarily a desk job involving sitting, standing, stooping, and walking




  • Minimal lifting required (office records and printouts)




  • Requires effective verbal and written communication skills in English




  • Ability to read 12-point type and larger is required




  • Adequate hearing required for phone communication (amplifier may be used)




Qualifications:




  • High school diploma or equivalent required




  • Minimum of six months of office experience




  • Skilled in all modes of electronic communication (email, fax, etc.)




  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)




  • Ability to type, transcribe, and use a copier to fax, scan, and email documents




  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
