Plant Laborer

We are looking for a motivated Plant Laborer to join our team at a manufacturing facility in Elkridge, MD. This role involves maintaining facility cleanliness, assisting the plant manager with daily tasks, and operating equipment. Responsibilities:

• Operate machinery and equipment following training and safety procedures


• Inspect equipment for malfunctions or damage


• Perform basic maintenance and repairs on machinery and mobile equipment as needed


• Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure quality and productivity


• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto production lines


• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe work environment


• Keep the work area clean and free of potential hazards


• Contribute to continuous improvement of plant operations and procedures


• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements:

• Monitor production processes and conduct basic testing and quality checks


• Store goods and raw materials properly in the facility


• Operate lifting equipment, forklift trucks, and front-end loaders


• Clean and maintain work areas and machinery


• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures


• Perform manual labor tasks as needed


• Report any issues to the supervisor on duty

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an industrial plant or similar role


• Knowledge of machinery and production operations


• Ability to perform manual labor and heavy lifting (up to 70 lbs.)


• Understanding of quality control principles


• Strong communication skills


• High school diploma or equivalent


• Good physical stamina and strength


• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions


• Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production or safety issues

This role requires standing for extended periods, cleaning floors, conveyors, and other equipment. The work environment includes both indoor and outdoor conditions, subject to weather changes.
