LINE MECHANIC, LINING
SUMMARY: Maintain Lining production equipment to ensure high quality and efficient output in a safe and proficient manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES:
1. Maintain productivity and quality output of the Lining machines.
2. Perform tooling changes, set-ups, and troubleshoot Lining support equipment such as
glue systems and conveying systems.
3. Remove and install die sets.
4. Accurately complete routine paperwork.
5. Submit a work order for repair of equipment beyond the ability of the department mechanic.
6. Must perform any other assigned duties.
7. Accepts responsibility to comply with all safety, quality, customer, ISO, SQF, and any other regulatory requirements. And has the authority to report concerns that could impact these requirements or suggest areas for improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education/experience.
2. Must have excellent attendance and good work history.
3. Must score a 42 or higher on the Bennett Mechanical Test.
4. Must have good mechanical aptitude and be able to quickly learn the mechanics of
high-speed lining machines.
5. Must have knowledge of product and Lining materials.
6. Must have own tools.
7. Capable of physical mobility including walking, sitting, bending, climbing, twisting, standing, pushing, pulling, and lifting/moving (up to 50 pounds).
8. Able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms.
9. Must be able to work overtime as needed.
10. Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner.
