Maintenance Technician – Healthcare Laundry Facility




Linen Services is the industry leader in Healthcare Laundry and Linen Rental services, providing textile solutions for the entire continuum of care including hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, physician offices, surgery centers, and long-term care organizations.


 


We are currently seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at our healthcare laundry facility. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, with prior experience maintaining industrial laundry equipment.


 


Key Responsibilities:



  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

  • Detect malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds and monitoring equipment performance; collaborate with supervisors or other maintenance staff to diagnose and resolve issues.

  • Dismantle and repair or replace defective machine components.

  • Clean and lubricate machinery parts, including shafts, bearings, and gears.

  • Install and maintain electrical systems such as transformers, switches, receptacles, and wiring within the facility and equipment.

  • Perform routine repairs to the physical structure and operational systems.

  • Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts.

  • Execute preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.



 

Required Qualifications :

Requirements:




  • Previous experience working with laundry equipment in a healthcare or industrial setting is required.




  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical components, and general maintenance procedures.




  • Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints.




  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.




  • Comfortable working in hot, humid environments typical of laundry facilities.
