Position: Malt House Production Technician


 


Location: Malting Plant (Operates continuously 365 days a year, 24 hours a day)


 


Responsibilities:




In our state-of-the-art malting plant, where operations run seamlessly year-round, Malt House Production Technicians play a pivotal role in overseeing the entire malting process. Their responsibilities span a spectrum of crucial tasks including raw material handling, operation of both computer automated and manual equipment, autonomous maintenance, meticulous process monitoring, stringent quality control measures, sanitation protocols, and various ancillary support activities. Flexibility is key in this dynamic environment, as duties and responsibilities may evolve in response to plant requirements. Given the uninterrupted nature of facility operations, consistent attendance and punctuality are imperative.


Malt House Production Technicians report directly to the Malt House Supervisor/Coordinator, ensuring seamless coordination and efficient execution of tasks.


 


Essential Job Functions:



  • Prioritize adherence to all workplace safety and environmental protocols.

  • Operate process equipment with utmost safety and efficiency.

  • Follow established sampling and quality control procedures meticulously.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of equipment, machinery, and processes, promptly troubleshooting and rectifying any issues to maintain uninterrupted production. This may involve navigating tight spaces, ascending/descending stairs/ladders, and handling loads up to 55 pounds in various conditions, including extremes of temperature and confined spaces.

  • Execute and document sanitation duties meticulously, fostering a clean and safe work environment.

  • Foster a positive team dynamic, collaborating effectively with colleagues.

  • Demonstrate self-initiative in task execution, following instructions meticulously.

  • Safely operate fork trucks, lifts, skid steers, and other equipment as required, in accordance with proper usage and safety protocols.

  • Fulfill any additional duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications :

Qualifications:



  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.

  • Proficiency in computer usage.

  • Two years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.


Additional Requirements:



  • Willingness to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as scheduled or required.

  • Proficient in reading, comprehending instructions, and communicating effectively in English.

  • Demonstrated flexibility and results-oriented approach to tasks.
