We are looking for a Part Time Secretary for Soaring Stars Therapy & Learning Center, Inc. We are an Autism Waiver Provider agency and we primarily work with children with Autism and their families. More importantly, we interface with various jurisdictions and external agencies to provide them with mandatory monthly reports. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a efficient and effective typist with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. You will report directly to the Founder/Executive Director. Understanding of data confidentiality principles is compulsory at Soaring Stars.





Secretary Job Responsibilities:





  • Enhances effectiveness by providing pertinent information to management with the necessary support.

  • Produces information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics.

  • Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence; collecting information; and initiating telecommunications.

  • Manages agency’s overall schedule by maintaining calendars for agency personnel and arranging meetings, conferences, teleconferences, and travel time.

  • Completes requests by greeting participants and families, in person or on the telephone, and answering or referring inquiries.

  • Maintains participants confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

  • Prepares monthly mandatory reports by collecting and organizing agency confidential information.

  • Maintains office supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; and verifying receipt of supplies.

  • Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer instructions and established procedures.

  • Secures information by completing database backups.

  • Provides historical reference by utilizing filing and retrieval systems.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reading secretarial publications.

  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Work Hours/ Hourly Rate of Pay:





  • Part-Time Position: Negotiable

  • Overtime: N/A

  • Minimal Remote Work

  • Hourly Rate: $19.00 to $20.00 depends upon experience and educational level.




Education, Experience, and Licensing/Certification Requirements:





  • University/college degree is an asset.

  • Previous experience, especially in particular industry, preferred.
